The M4 High-Speed Tractor was an American artillery tractor of the Second World War. The machine was developed on the chassis of the M3 Stuart tank. It was powered by a 145GZ or F817G Waukesha six-cylinder gasoline engine. The maximum weight of the transported trailer could be up to 14 tons. The tractor was able to go down slopes with an inclination of 30°. The M4 was produced by tractor manufacturer Allis-Chalmers of West Allis, Wisconsin beginning in 1943 and in U.S. military service until about 1960.
